Thanks, nudge. Not exactly a permanent solution, but a good workaround nonetheless. I was hoping to "nudge" Scot into a fix for the masses (oh sorry, that was a painful pun)
I can't resist labelling this method "Nudge's Kludge" ;=) BTW, Ctrl+A is the quick (Windows) keyboard way to do it (I think it's option+A on the Mac).

[Note: I found out that if you click on the "Screen Color" tab, you can
switch to a white background, which makes it easier to see the bold type,
which is now in black. It's somewhat cumbersome, though - you have to click
your browser "Back" button and then refresh the page in order for the
background change to take effect.]

This may be easier for you. While you are on the page in question, on
your browser's menu bar, click on edit, then select all, and all should be
readable.
