The Ten coin TITO 10/7DB have changed to
GameKing Multi game with 9/6 DB

I looked to see if these ten-coin 10/7 double
bonus machines had been relocated at Santa Fe
Station. Did not find them anywhere in the
casino. Also asked a couple of floor people with
no luck. If anyone finds them, please post.
Otherwise, Santa Fe no longer has any positive
video poker greater than 25c.

Someone recently posted that they thought that
points could be redeemed at Santa Fe for
gasoline. According to the slot club, gasoline is
not available for redemption at any Station
Casino. You can do so at the Fiestas but only
with Fiesta points, not Station points....per
Fiesta Rancho slot club supervisor.

The Capri Restaurant has closed. The Cafe is
expanding into that space.

The recently opened Cabo Cantina continues to
serve "Mexican Fare with Flare". This is
according to their advertising. I believe they
meant to use the word "flair" instead of "flare"
unless they are trying to say the food is burning
HOT.

I have had problems receiving Palms emailed notices when they have extra free
play and notify you via email. I know some other people have had this as
well. If you have a problem you should contact:

Denise Domonkos
Palms, Marketing Manager
Phone 702-942-7041
Fax 702-942-0107

I spoke to Mr. Maloof at the Palms yesterday and also Ms. Domonkos, and she
is trying to determine if the problem stems with the agency they use to send
out email or not.

It would help if other people who are having problems would also contact her.

Thanks - Linda

I also stayed there one night and I have taken them up for their
free 3 nights for January 4-7. I also received an invite to a slot
tourney at the end of January and received the same offer you did. I
only played up to 127 points.
The difference between the offers is the first two don't have play
requirements and the Benvenuto on does. It states that you need to
maintain your current level of play in the fine print at the bottom
of the ad.I only played the 9/6 JOB but in dollars. I don't know
where the >50 machines are.

Over the summer, i got comped rooms at Casino Royal and Sam's

town.

But on my last night, i rented a room at the Venetian because they
had a $99/night special, and i wanted to see what a 5 star hotel

felt

like. (For the amount of time i stayed awake in that room, it

wasn't

worth it.)

Anyway, i played the $0.50 9/6 JoB the night before and the day

after

for a total of like 50-100 points. That's only ~$5000 coin-in.

(BTW-i

see in the vpFREE database, the Venetian now has $1 JoB as the
minimum. or am i wrong and it was always $1?)

I got a flyer today that said i have Benvenuto status. I can use

the

free 2 night stay repeatedly tll 5/10/04 as long as i maintain my
current level of play.

Anybody else get this offer?

Gary -

I strongly recommend that you buy Bob Dancer's Win Poker for your computer to
practice on and his related Strategy Guides to explain the best moves. I
bought them all on the recommendation of Jean Scott and would be lost without
them. You can order them thru vpFREE or greatsuff4gamblers.com.

Good Luck!

Is there a webpage or a link that shows the basic rules for video
poker? For example, when playing blackjack if the dealer has a face
card or a 10, and you have 17 or less, rule is you hit.

Any rules like that for VP?

For example, if I have 2 queens, 2 4's and an 8, do I keep the two
pair, or keep 2 queens and go for 4 of a kind?

Step us through the translation of an appropriately biased coin to a
representation of 9/6 JB vp, if you will.

I'm working on this, but it will probably be a few days before I'll
have time to post the full result. The equivalent coin for the 9/6
game has a unit cost of about 1.000425 compared to 1.00185 for the 8/5
game.
This is because the 9/6 game is almost breakeven, which would give
a unit cost of exactly 1.0000000.

Take you time, Steve. The enzymes are still churning away at
digesting the posts on this topic thus far.

By the way, running the translation on 8/5 would be just as useful. I
just need to reverse engineer this in my brain for it to have an easy
shot at penetrating.
