Sandia Casino in Albuquerque

Can't find anything on this casino in the databases. I assume it is a VP wasteland? I am speaking at a casino executive seminar there October 15-17 and would welcome any information on this casino and on any nearby - although we won't have a car.

If it is possible to disclose, what do you generally tell casino
executives?

I have one pet peeve.

I see long lines of people in casinos for something or the other. A
person standing in line for half-an-hour at a casino, is a person that
is not sitting down at a slot machine or gaming table.

Why is it hard for these executives to grasp this simple idea?

A Myth

This is one point I always drum on. I talk about good customer service and such things as letting us know about promotions farther in advance. I do NOT talk about the type of games I'd like to see put in the casino.

Most of the bad lines I see are because of either a)inefficient
queueing systems; or b)inefficient use of staff. It always amazes me
when I'm checking in to see 3 people at the counter and 50 people in
line, while at the same time there are 3 people sweeping up cigarette
butts in the same area.

I'd make the point that it would not necessarily cost them more in
labor to do things better; they just have to dilligently observe what
they're doing and think about how to do things better.

This is from a nickel and occasional quarter player.

Sandia: There are some quarter IGT progressives at the south end of
the casino that go positive sometimes. I had a royal on one of them
once, and got 4 deuces two or three times, but that was fairly dumb
luck. Mostly they're low pay tables. There are nickel and quarter 9/6
DDB around.

Other casinos:

Isleta has some multigame IGT machines near the bar that used to have
NSUD paytables, but it's been awhile since I played there.

Santa Ana Star has very little.

No idea what Route 66 has, or the racino at the State fairgrounds.

Well, Jean, only one way to find out, right?
