I saw a recent vpFREE blog about San Manuel being "nicer" now and
paid them a visit today. They won't be getting a return trip.
I was literally the ONLY person playing one of the 8 VP machines in
High Limit. No luck at either the $5 NSUD, Jacks or DDB.
I took a reading of my points at the start of play and at the end
(losing $1500+) and knew I had played about $15K through. As
previously instructed in the database I went up to the club desk and
asked for a host to be paged for a discretionary lunch comp.
After waiting, an older woman arrived, glanced at my account on the
screen and simply said "Not enough play today."
I viewed some of the 25c players in the casino and wondered when,if
ever, they would put $15K coin-in into Indian casino slots in a
short afternoon. But, knowing that tactic wouldn't work, I tried a
different approach.
"But what about the loss? Can't you comp lunch on that?"
The host replied she couldn't see what I had lost, which would be the
first time in history I have ever been told that. So, no comp.
I then redeemed the points I had just earned for a $10.95 buffet and
returned to the slot club booth to request a win/loss statement.
"We will not accept applications for those until after Jan 1, so come
back then".
"But can't I just turn the request in today? It's a long drive out
here".
"No, we won't accept it. And we won't give you the form today anyway".
So, I left, having eaten a $1500 buffet with no documentation of my
loss until I return in 2009 to request it.
Which is exactly what I'll do as quickly as possible on the way home
from giving my play to Pechanga and Pala.
