Sam's Town

Albert: I'm not really looking for bites....but I've had so many private e-mails on this that I'll explain most of what I know at Sam's Town--but not how I know it.

As a visitor you already do the right thing, that is, you don't use a host. The hosts/hostesses at ST are more for controlling costs than for customer comp service. If you respond to the mailings without asking for a host (ie., for a suite upgrade if you aren't offered one) you won't have eyes tracking your play when you come in--only the system will. And the system spits out the offers automatically without any human input. Once they watch you, the notes start going into the computers, and unless you continually play at a higher level (more $ thru than the last time) you're offers will be downgraded starting 2 months out. And those $100 + bounce-back cash offers will be reduced by half.

For locals & visitors: You will receive greater benefits if you play the TITO Multi-Game/Multi-Denomination games (plentiful in the 'new' area) than if you play any other machines. The system there is set up to reward those players more. The thinking is that some cocky winners who play quarters may jump to 50c or higher, while some losers will climb just to catch up (of course, without a clue or a plan). Whether or not they move up, they will receive more benefits just for playing them. Cash back or comps are the same. It's the mailings that will be different. I think most or all of those positive EV games aren't on them, but that has zero to do with it. I'm not saying all Boyd is like this either. Just ST is as far as I've looked. In case others don't realize this fact (as I'm sure you do) ST is in my opinion the best overall deal for those looking for a "free" visit to LV.

Now good luck, and I apologize if I've scooped anyone on this. (!!!)
