Sam's Town Trip Feb3 thru 6

I'm a novice so bear with me. I stay at ST every trip and have noticed
signs on some vp machines that state they they don't give rewards
points. Why??

Sam's Town, like many casinos that still have fullpay VP, has
determined that if they give slot club benefits IN ADDITION to their
theoretical losses on fullpay machines, they will lose money on
those machines, they will have to fire all the employees and shut
down the casino, and all former Sam's Town management will be seen
crawling through the desert, wearing rags, and chewing on Keno
crayons for sustenance.

Of course, this is nonsense. Locals' casinos for YEARS offered
fullpay VP AND good slot clubs with cashback AND mailers AND comps
AND promotions. Then Stations, followed by other casino groups,
decided to create a monopoly by buying up every single casino they
could get their claws on. When the moment was right, they gutted the
VP, and slashed the slot club benefits. However, there was at least
a moderate hue and cry--business did suffer, particularly after
9/11. So, GRUDGINGLY, some casinos allowed a FEW fullpay machines to
remain---but they weren't about to make it possible to win anything
significant on them.

Sam's Town has a long history of this kind of thinking, in that
people who play fullpay VP are parasites who don't even deserve to
be breathing the casino air. This is behind their posting those
signs that tell you that you can no longer earn $1.20/hr in comps by
playing those machines.

Is this no longer correct? There's no mention of this in the VP FREE
Vegas Database.
It looks like instead they resolved it by requiring twice as much
coin in per point.
Is that correct?

If I play the positive vp machines, can I be comped rooms, etc., by
hosts?
Do they now give discretionary comps, bb cash, etc., for playing
these machines - i.e., the same as non positive vp machines, except
twice as much coin in required?

I also see that Stations is requiring 4 times the coin in on
positive vp per point.

Can someone clarify the situation there - still giving room comps
thru hosts, bb cash, etc., for playing positive vp, but 4 times the
coinin per point required?

Thanks.

Sams Town requires 2 x's coin and a host has told me they look at the theoretical win from the machine for comps etc but in relaity there is an easy bypass. Play until you get to Emerald Club, you then get 3 X points, therefore 3 X .5 = 1.5 if you must play the "positive machines" There are other easier routes to go though. If a progressive at reset pays less than 100% you get regular points even when it goes in to + territory. There also also games that play well above 99% that with the Emerald club bonus, comps, and offers you are over 100%. Just don't expect the casino to offer you a living!
