In the area that used to be the sports and racing book Sam's Town has created a new mini non smoking section. It is next to Keno and Poker but on checking it out there are several flaws which will doom it to failure.
The best paying machine is 8/5 Bonus Poker at 99.2%. Despite the fact that elsewhere in the casino there are machines up to 100.7% (near movie theatres) and plenty around 100.1% scattered throughout the casino none of these are in the new non smoking area. A tax on non smokers? No multistrike either. The Keno area adjacent is only 50% non smoking and the bar in the area allows smoking thus whether or not this area will work out only time will tell. It is a start but it is important that they do it right and put some of the higher pay tables in the area.
