Sam's Town Mystery My Aunt F( )<#!*g Fanny

Time and energy do not count. They are intangibles. Of your 3 only money counts for the legal definition of gambling. In addition just because you are "losing" not not mean they are winning. That only applies in a zero sum games. In a non-zero sum game both you and your opponent could be losing.

Where are you getting your definition of gambling? According to the US Code 5362...(1)Bet or wager.—The term “bet or wager”— (A) means the staking or risking by any person of something of value upon the outcome of a contest of others, a sporting event, or a game subject to chance, upon an agreement or understanding that the person or another person will receive something of value in the event of a certain outcome;

So the operative phase does seem to be "something of value". Don't you agree now that you are investing something of value by showing up to the casino in order to play their game which is presented as a game of chance?
