Sam's Town LV and your points

The only question that matters is a simple one. Is it a good play as it currently exists?
"Good" can be different for different people, but its still the only question.
Casinos change things all the time. Frankly, in today's environment, I'd be a lot more worried about the sweeping changes that have decimated most of the truly good plays I will agree that failing to paypoints on free play is a bit on the miserly side, but its simply too small a dent to cause the level of anger displayed. I am not criticizing here, just suggesting that finding a way to change your reaction might make your life better. This world sucks ass 24/7 when it comes to this kind of garbage, so if this small maneuver causes this much anger, I expect a lot of other things do as well. Just today I had an airline pull some truly bogus nonsense over something small. And it pissed me off. That's on me. I let it happen and even made it happen. Was I in the right? Yes. But would it do any good or be worth my time to try to do something about it? No. So I am better off letting it slide even though my nature is to become very annoyed at such things.

You are correct, of course, but you're not going to get anywhere with this. I'll still wish you good luck, though.

Wait is someone seriously THAT pissed off that playing free-play doesn't earn points? Maybe I'm missing something here... If I'm not mistaken, 0.3% of $100 is $0.30, right? This HAS to be a joke.

That number you came up with matches my calculations. I don't think the author was joking.
Speaking for myself only, I know that in my own case it is the small things that drive me away from a casino,
although it usually takes a number of them to trip my go away response. This one item with the free play is in itself inconsequential, but it does speak to the bigger picture of a casino doing progressively more small things
to get a bigger edge on players. If you look at all of the things that Sam's Town has done over the past few years, you will come up with a long list of items that taken individually are pretty minor, but if you add them up it comes to a significant impact.

For the author of the original posting this may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

A.P.
