Many of you remember the $1/2/5 Caesars LV 9/6 Jacks in 3 and 5 play which faced the cigar store in the Palace Casino. NSUD was available a few aisles over.
So much for the "good old days". But on that machine once I was dealt a flush which contained four-to-the royal. Sacrificing a sure $150 thing did result in a royal on one of the hands for me.
Sure enough, I had the identical situation today in one of our California Indian casinos. I felt more pressure than last time because I was already down a bit. But the correct play again yielded a royal, this time on the fourth hand.
Royals happen every day, but a more unique situation happened a short time later. I was dealt the 10-J-Q-K of clubs and drew not the ace but the 9 for a straight flush.
And that's not the unusual part.
On the very next hand I was dealt a 2-3-4-5 of hearts and drew the 6.
Back-to-back straight flushes.
Happy to see it, but feeling ever so slightly shortchanged by "only" $250 payoffs for something I might never experience again.
