Sailing on the Star Princess

October 28-Nov. 4, with the group from the Venetian cruise promotion. Anyone been on that ship recently and know what the VP is like? I'm assuming it is bad, but that doesn't matter since we really like getting away from VP when we are on vacation anyway. We sometimes play a little recreational BJ when we are on a cruise.

We are stopping in the following ports, none of which we have visited before: Halifax, Nova Scotia; St. John, New Brunswick; Bar Harbor, Maine; Boston, Massachusetts; and Newport, RI.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who has personal recommendations on sightseeing activities that would be more interesting that the standard cookie-cutter cruise tours. Please e-mail me privately at my new address given below.

Thanx in advance.

The good news: This will be a great chance to "get away from VP."

The bad news: Last summer (2005), I could not find any playable VP on
the Star Princess.

Their bartop progressives looked promising until I saw that "max coin"
= 10 coins, which required halving my estimate of the progressive
Royal's value.
