Sahara Update

For good or bad, the general public seems to accept the fact that
casinos can and will toss out blackjack card counters as a standard
business practice. I just don't think that the general public has the
same acceptance of casinos tossing out winning slot or video machine
players. Just look at all the bad publicity and ill will generated
when Greektown tossed out a number of VP players several years ago.

I disagree re: the public's attitude about barring blackjack players - while it may not be as severe a PR problem for the casinos as barring slot players, most of my unskilled friends are still amazed and don't understand how anyone can offer a game of chance with an element of skill and then bar someone from playing whose skill level allows them to beat the game.

The only exception is the misinformed few who think that card counting is some form of cheating.

Some of those people barred earned it. I mean, really earned it. Some,
like our friend Juan de pais de Grecia didn't. Or the housewife from
the burbs who went on a run at Pickem.
