Why can't I go into all Missouri casinos. Only reasons I can think of
are law enforcement, casino crime, or self-ban. I go for self ban.
If you are interested, and for some reason a lot of people like these
stories, keep reading. If not page down or delete. When I graduated
from college, I had a lot of credit card bills. I didn't have any
"good" college loan, I paid for everything of credit cards. That
included a car. God, I was stupid when I was young. Then I got a job
in Kansas City. I had to get a credit card limit increase just to
move. Then I found casinos. I started with slot machines and soon
moved to the crack-cocaine of casinos, VP. Of course, I was just a
ploopie(SP?). I loved 8-5 double double jackpot. Every time I got a
credit card line increase, I used it. When I lost my first job
because the company went bankrupt, I had to get a loan from my
parents. This was when I decided that I needed to do something about
my spending/gambling problems. So I self-banned myself from Missouri
casinos. This was about 7 years ago. Unlike Missouri, I believe that
some of the people on the list can become responsible. That still
doesn't get me in the front door. Now I have a house that I own 25%
of and a bit of savings and never leave a balance on credit cards.
RANT ON
I get annoyed when this group down-plays any mention of the signs of
problem gambling. I don't get emotionally upset about it because I
have a backbone and this is an advantage VP site, not just a random
Vegas or gambling site.
RANT OFF
Anyway, I was probably one of the few who was counting down the time
when Harrah's would leave Prairie Band Casino and Resort. If you are
banned at one Harrah's, you are banned at all of them. The place is
great, and I have become their highest level playing mostly All
American video poker in only 4 months. (Probably qualified by Elite in
a day) I didn't play the $ AA because I am now responsible and I
didn't have the required bankroll. Now that I am closing in on the
bankroll, they removed the machines. Oh well.
