Sachem/Wolf ? free play amount?

That's interesting about the mop...I got that as an offer also and I'm just
Sagamore. Usually go 2 to 4 times a month, put through between 15K and
30K a session. I was feeling sorry for myself until I started reading
about what's happening to you guys! Have always made Sagamore with 2500 to
3500 points a 6 month period, but I'm rethinking my play, too. Went to NOLA
the end of March - put through 165K in three days - have gotten an offer
since for a free European cruise, balcony room, plus am heading out to Vegas
with a stay at Caesars and $350 free play, plus show tickets, a few other
things. Yes, I know the paytables are bad out there, but I plan on marginal
play there.

I'll vent also. I no longer see the advantage if being sachem with what
they want you to do and the offers we are getting. FSP used to be 750 or 500.
It is now the same with one less 0. Our next giveaway is an $85 mop and we
are expected to put at least 100k thru. I don't even want the mop. The
giveaways have gone way down. Unless they change back(which i doubt) it makes
sense to get 1600 pts, become sag and just go Sun-thurs. That way I won't
feel any need to play 100k a trip and risk losing significant amts. Just go
and enjoy it without any pressure.

We got the freaken mops also. Last year we were getting laptops. IPADS and cruises, This year it is mops and crabs. Last year our theo was 4,000. After the software change to machine specific theo it went to 2000. Now it is down to 150 with the same play. fsp offers are no longer worth the trip as they are 1/10th of what they uses to be. Whether it was intentional or not, this upgrade has to be costing them millions. They're handle was down 6% in May while FW was flat. Our host has tried to make up for it by giving us fsp, dinner and shopping comps. However, it all comes down to profitability. The casino does not see VP players as profitable.

I agree with Mel. There is no longer any reason to play at the level we used to. We will enjoy Sagamore and reduce our visits and play.

I had a discussion with my host on what now triggers a trip and how my theo could be so low with the same level of play as in previous years.

She said that only using your card for a comp triggers a trip. Shopping using the lounge etc,. should not trigger a trip. Using fsp, a dinner or shopping coupon or attending an event will.

For the night, we played only on my wife's card until well after midnight. During the night I used my card for a purchase and access to 33. The next day we used my card for breakfast on 33 and to buy gas. According to my host, my wife had 1 trip and I had 0.

I'm just stating what i was told and would like feedback from anyone else who tries the same approach.

Agree, agree, agree.

So glad I started visiting FW as well. With the same amount of play, there is
better fsp and offers there than at the Sun. Judicious timing makes a combo trip
worthwhile, and the combined fsp is about what the Sun used to be, when I was
playing for up to 4800 points or more.

So if their marketing thought process at the Sun was to ensure equal play at
both casinos, I think its working for me.
