I never knew about the 33rd floor until my favorite bartender told me about it. He actually called and they said I could go up there as long as I was staying at the hotel.
Now when I check in, I ask for a club card and they have always given me one. The main benefit IMO is great omlettes and that children are admitted until 1:00PM.

MS had a max limit of 1000 Sachem card holders. There are alot more than
400. Of the Sachem card holders about half are admitted to the 33rd floor.
This was from my old host (there were 800 Sachem card holders then) plus 2
years ago MS put in there publication they had a max of 1000 Sachem members.

find out about call ahead seating at restaurants that don't take
