Heard a rumor that certain big playing vp players (1 couple and one
individual) who played $5 and $1 PE were 86ed by MS and their points
cancelled. Does anyone have information?
There have been 2 instances that I heard of where players were banned from
MS and had their points removed.
The first was on the $10 PE in the middle of the high limit area of the new
casino. It was frequently paying out an extra coin when you cashed out. A
couple of players decided to take advantage of this and would put $ in the
machine and immediately cash out getting an extra $10 coin most of the time.
They did this often enough to attract attention and they were banned and had
their points removed.
The second was a couple and an individual so it might be the one you are
referring to in your post. The players were buying gold coins and selling them.
Really big numbers (in the 10s of thousands per order). It attracted
attention and they were banned and had their points removed. This one happened
earlier this year (last 6 months).
MS is very "concerned" when players use their points to get things to
resell. I was in one of the lounges one day when a player was talking loud enough
for the entire room to hear about how he was buying Rolex watches and
reselling them. Lots of Rolex watches. Shortly after that MS restricted the number
of Rolex watches you could buy per year. Other players were using points to
get MS gift cards and selling them on e-bay. MS banned the use of points to
get gift cards to stop that.
I've done none of the above so I don't worry about being banned.
