RS's unpopular column

Now YOU'RE the question mark! Army vs. Gov't. service = draft dodger?
Here's the difference--The grunt carries his or her weapon on the
battlefield. I had one at all times. In fact, I like the feel of iron
and the smell of gunpowder so much that I still carry one! You
know....just in case a Muslim shows up and looks like he's saying his
final prayers to Allah. I know, I know: You'd kindly ask him to
negotiate, and you'd promise him an ACLU homo would intervene before
any real men got there to wisk him away to a dungeon where he belongs.
The only problem with that act of D-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y? BOOM!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmmm. Another commonly known cultural term that you know nothing

up in?

In the country where the language is understandable and not geek, and
where men are called men and not nerds.

I believe anything outside a locked room and/or a casino is fantasy to

I see. To the 'culturally rich' means one must understand why it's
important to move to LV just to be closer to gambling machines, dumpy
locals casinos, and all those ridiculous social problems they lead the
world in. And all this, after a career that basically kept you locked

pardon me, but interest in sports is yet another victim of running

Here's a hint: I never set foot off US soil until after just after
getting my MBA in Boston--as in MASSACHUSETTS. Does that help someone
with cobwebs from playing video poker all day long?

So, now you're claiming LV is worse than all the other big cities.
Please provide supporting evidence. I suppose you think the Phoenix
area has no problems. Where do you get these idiotic notions.

Are you blind? Las Vegas? HA! It's MUCH worse than any other big city-
-if you can call it that. 80% of the city is a slum inhabited by
every foreign degenerate who moved there thinking the money will just
walk out the casino doors and into their hands. Half the drivers on
the roads are drunk. Most drivers are angry and frustrated over
losing. Everywhere has problems, and that's exactly why I moved out
of Scottsdale & into Carefree. At least we can get away from it over
here. You poor people have no choice.

And what "real world" would that be. Personally I think America is

us all a favor and move there.

Absolutely the USA is far and away the best place to be. But your
presenting yourself as an authority on the issue is weak and, to your
credit, blind chest-pounding. One way to know the truth is to
experience it. Yes I've lived in many countries and been just about
everywhere else, but I've always kept my home here. Pakistan is a
Muslim shithole and it gets worse as you travel to the bordering
countries. Cindy Sheehan would love it.

What is your definition of "quick"? Sorry to disappoint you once

What you did is make a gazillion trips to LV to gamble before
saying "Why don't we just move there so we can play at will at the
locals joints with the positive EV machines?" It's what happens to
video poker addicts who can afford the move. Saying it's a tourist
destination is one thing, but implying that you do the touristy
things is another. You're there for one single reason--to gamble.
Period. Skip the BS. The 'wonders of Arizona' (and I don't think I've
seen a Grand Canyon in Nevada lately) that you don't get is that it's
not a gambling mecca, and most reasonable people can live a normal
life here without being roped into smelly casinos every waking hour.
I'm a tourist when I go to Nevada and I enjoy it because I know I'll
leave. I would have thought you'd have chosen Lake Tahoe to have a
SUMMER home instead of that rat trap you moved to.

No one is significantly more important than another. I enjoy golf the
most although I am a much better bowler ... but gambling is the only
one I can do and make a profit at the same time. And guess what? The
day they remove all the full pay machines is the last day you will

Suit yourself. You seem to have an occurring problem of not being

fit the 'nerd' scenario. Accept it. While you were doing absolutely
nothing--and punctuated that kind of life with feeding a gambling
habit to the point of relocating in order to do it--others were

No one person has lived everywhere. The only way to be knowledgeable
about "the rest of the world" is to read about it. You may be able to

traded that off for knowledge about American culture.

Oh, I suspect you spent a little time in Indian casinos on several

casinos is just another lie. However, I've spend very little time in
casinos that don't provide 100% payback games. You, on the other
hand, are very happy playing suboptimal games. I bet you've lost a
bundle in Indian casinos. I know that why you come to Nevada to
gamble even though you'll never admit it.

were living and thriving. The fact that you now lead a sour life and

have problems with anyone who's a tad bit more recognizeable in

name than you, affects you. Go see Hostel. It'll take your mind off
of the envy.

You can never admit your own lack of knowledge. Is that something

you

learned when you grew up overseas? Of course, we all know you will
denigrate LV any chance you get. Your inability to achieve any kind
of success here has clearly made you bitter. The fact that so many
advantage gamblers have succeeded while you failed makes you has
clearly turned you into a bitter old man.

Now that's what I call a direct, clear response to the topic. You're
just angry that you live in a town known for casinos and slums more
than anything else, and that everyone else knows that along with you.
What else can you do but dance around the reality of it all? you're
stuck in a rut, and it's your own fault. Don't get mad at me because
you made a big mistake. Maybe if you lived a little more when you
were working you'd have had a fuller life that gave you the knowledge
you'd need in retirement to make the right decisions.

By the way, the roads aren't necessarily all that safe in other
cities at those times. "... you can call me Ray, or ..., but just
don't called me Johnson."

What in the world is THAT? Another part of your corny culture that
you think is a 'slice of Americana"?

This is the same man who denied the poor air quality in Phoenix

just

one year ago. You're really something. Maybe you are related to Pat
Paulson. Naturally, you have no idea who he is, do you? If you had
lived in America while growing up you'd know. Now, go ask someone
your age. You can also ask about the Smothers Brothers.

I've heard of Paulson but have no idea--or desire--to know who he is
or what he's known for. If you are onto him then that means one
certain thing--that he's corny and is likely part of the nerd-culture.
And right again--I've changed my mind on the polution index over Phx.
When I learn something I act--only unlike you, I do the right thing.
Going from Minn. to LV makes no sense--esp. at your age and
vulnerability for airborne health problems. It's bad in Phx., but not
nearly as unhealthy as the junk you live in during your "WINTER"
months. Does that enter into your EV, or does health continue not to
enter your equation?

> I know lots of people who never have been outside of the US even

it.

The only way to be knowledgeable about "the rest of the world" is

to read about it.

And so said the wheelchair-bound historian......

You may be able to claim knowledge about a couple of places, but it
appears you've traded that off for knowledge about American culture.

Those "couple of places" aren't quite what I was telling you. But
believe what you want if it makes you feel better about your
insignificant self. And from what I've seen, I've been to more states
more often than you, and I don't go there to visit the Indian casinos
either.

Oh, I suspect you spent a little time in Indian casinos on several
trips. It's either that or your claim to know so much about Indican
casinos is just another lie. However, I've spend very little time

in

casinos that don't provide 100% payback games. You, on the other
hand, are very happy playing suboptimal games. I bet you've lost a
bundle in Indian casinos. I know that why you come to Nevada to
gamble even though you'll never admit it.

Here's a hint: The only way I'm an authority on what I write about
Indian casinos in GT or anywhere is because I've been to them and
investigated the ones in Az. & Ct. All the evidence points to the
video machines being biased. People who play at them wouldn't ever
agree, because like you, they wouldn't ever want themselves not to be
able justify playing at them.

> > No, it's not. It is ONE of the reasons. Spend a couple of

winters

Another undeniable lie? Still falling back on the addiction BS.
According to you EVERYONE is addicted.

According to me, most regular vp players are addicted. And few have
the sense to say that about themselves. But the group that leads the
past are the ones who are actually DUMB enough to move to LV--as if
in the same fairytale nightmare as the Queen has found herself in--
just to be able to gamble more often. Those are the SEVERELY addicted
and pathelogical gamblers who as it just so happens, are also video
poker players. They are also the world's best make believe artists,
and they stay as far away from the word 'DENIAL' as they can.

First class is fine as long as it's one way.

Well then let me educate you further on a US citizen's travel to that
country: You cannot buy a one-way ticket. Gee, you should have been
able to READ about that fact during one of your many American-
cultural-filled years, correct?

Now tell us where you were raised or tell us why you are completely
ignorant of American culture. You can keep trying to change the
subject all you want. I've got you right where I want you. It's

time to admit the TRUTH for once in your life.

Mass. Again if you missed it--Mass. New England--the HOME of American
culture.

1:35pm your time. You make believe - and you want others to believe -
that you moved to LV because of all the 'touristy' things there, but
all you REALLY do is go to the same LOCAL dives every day to chase
losers on the video poker machines. Golf? HA! "Other interests"??
HAHA!! If one of the 'reasons' you really and truly moved to LV was to

You're

than anything else, and that everyone else knows that along with

Is that why 40 million visitors come to LV each year. To see the
slums. Could you be anymore off target??? The bitter old man just
has to slam any and everyone who has succeeded where he failed. It's
is so obvious that it's downright pitiful.

LMAO. Let's see if I can quantify "my mistake". The property I bought
has appreciated 80% in two years. I've made a gambling profit both
years. I can now play golf year round (for free in LV). I can bowl
for free every day. I haven't paid a cent for gas while in LV. 75% of
my meals are free. I haven't had to shovel snow and I haven't worn
anything heavier than a light jacket in those two years. Could you
possibly be any more dense???

1:35pm your time.

Let's see. We went out to Tuscany for lunch (Mexican, comped of
course). Then we went over to Sams Town and gambled for a couple of
hours. We came home and went over to the clubhouse and worked out
(weights and exercise bike) for awhile (to cool today for the pool and
spa).

It's nice to see you're still so interested in me. If you'd like to
come visit someday I can show take you on a live tour. Then you can
tell all your friends that you spent some time with a real advantage
player. LMAO.

You make believe - and you want others to believe -
that you moved to LV because of all the 'touristy' things there,

No, I already told you why I moved here (do you have a family history
of Alzheimers?). It's nice too be able to do some of the touristy
things when I want, but that's not even on the scorecard. Remember,
golf (planned for Weds.), bowling (tomorrow), gambling (28 hours so far
in 9 days), and most importantly ... NO SNOW AND COLD.

If you still think your silly attempts to berate me for doing the
things I want to do is going to have any effect on me whatsoever, then
you are seriously brain-impaired. But then we already knew that.

Now go get dinner on the table before the boss gets home.

It's is so obvious that it's downright pitiful.

And that's ANOTHER good point you don't really grasp. Tourists go to
the Strip. Most never see or get near the slums. Sure, the cheapo
freebie-seeking players you associate with on vpFREE et. al. who
are 'tourists' come to town and, because of being blindsided by all
this nonsensical 'advantage play' stuff, they venture to the local
dumps. But most tourists have money in their pockets and brains in
their heads, and they want to be safe while on vacation. That means
they stay away from your slums.

Yup. keep on building on your make-believe fantasy and you'll
continue to reason out losing in the casinos. I didn't see you
mention how much your health has improved! One wouldn't be able to
distinguish if the air inside those dives is better or worse than
outside!!

I assume he was a TV star--and we all know geeks not only watch TV
non-stop because they have BIG trouble getting laid in college--they
count the lines of resolution during the commercials!

Too bad you didn't do a little research on LV polution or you'd

know that it isn't a bad problem during the winter months while I'm
here.

HA! Polution in Nv. & Az. is at it's WORST index during the WINTER
months. You show a fool's knowledge.

I've only been to 46 states.

My only miss is Alaska. But I've flown over it numerous times.

I could have visited VT, NH and ME on
one of my trips to CT and I now wish I had. I may not make it out

Well who WOULDN'T when they make trips to Ct. just to go to Foxwoods
or MS! How can you stay away?

LMAO. Two states. Wow, what a expert. You are such a phoney.

48 states. One baseline Gaming Pact. Same bias. Do some of your
famous research and look it up.

Denial, the number 1 word in a vp addict's vocabulary. Your making up
all that stuff only contributes to your denial. D-E-N-I-A-L!

What you don't want to get is your lack of knowledge on Gov't. policy

and yet all those holes.......

Tuscany's Mexican restaurant is a dump. How could you take your wife
there!? I tried it with a friend and would NEVER subject her to such
low-class service and grease-laden food. there's so much grease
dripping off the colored tortilla chips that you need straight shots
of Tequila just to help it un-coagulate inside. Then Sam's Town? HA!
Now there's a classy place with plenty of fresh air and the best
looking players in the universe! I'd have to see you on ane exercycle
to believe it. I do believe the weights, however. You need a lot of
work on those man-tits.

It's nice to see you're still so interested in me. If you'd like to

I'll be around Feb. 9-11, and I'll be at the Venetian. I'd love a
tour with a problem gambler. Tell me--do you have the same coin-
studded toilet seat that the Queen boasts of having while living your
nightmare? How about a closet full of casino-logod jackets, or a room
full of casino junk and similar stuff you bought from Dan Paymar??

No, I already told you why I moved here (do you have a family

I'm sure that emphasis on 'no snow & no cold' helps take your mind
off of the addiction to go gamble so many hours a day. Average
3hrs./day in the joints you think are good---is that sick or what??

If you still think your silly attempts to berate me for doing the
