Royal Flush at Fiesta

I posted this on the SHG:

Hit a royal two nights ago for $1100 at Fiesta Rancho. Posted a pic
of it here...

Overheard a pro say to another " You know, I used to think I was the
luckiest VP player in the world, and now I don't think I have hit a
set of deuces in my last 40,000 hands". Ouch! He later said he had
lost $4400 straight over time on the 2's wild for quarters. Remember
you need an $8800 bankroll for a 99% chance of never going broke on
2's wild assuming no cash back. Good luck. TomSki

That is a sequential royal as well. Good job

Congrats on that royal!
Tom, are you sure this guy was a pro, or just blowing hot air? Not that you can't have a real bad losing streak, but a lot of people claim to be more knowlegable than they are.
BTW, I saw a guy hit a royal on 9/6 DB last week at Trump Plaza. I was playing the 9/6 JB next to him, and I saw him get teased with a four-card royal and made a comment about how much that stinks. Within 60 seconds his bells and whistles went off. But he had held the Ace-10. Wrong move according to the strategy charts, but you won't convince him of that now.

Congrats on the Royal, and one dumb question: Did the casino take
the picture for you, or did you take it yourself? I have a tiny
digital camera, and was wondering if I'd get in trouble if I tried to
take a picture of my next RF. (presuming I get another one!)

I've used cameras many times in the past to commemorate a jackpot and
only get into trouble when the pictures are taken around the pit area.

When I take photos in a casino, I do not use my flash. It is true
they do not want you to take photos. So I am discreet about it. If
they see you take one, they will just ask you not to take any more.
But with a royal, if you ask them to take a photo of you standing by
the machine, they often will let you. But I would take one before you
ask just in case they were to say no. Good luck. TomSki
