so I'm at hard rock in biloxi for the first time and sat down to play JOB for the first time. I looked on the site and it listed a 9/6 game in the high limit room. I found it...only problem is a royal flush is 400 instead of 800. Seems like a shitty game no?
royal flush 400????
Yes. Subtract about 1%. The Hard Rock in Biloxi decided some time ago that they no longer want any (good) video poker players playing their games. Biloxi is quickly becoming a VP wasteland, which is a shame.

The 'normal' payout for a Royal Flush with one coin bet is 250.

If so, that is normal.
You don't want to play with a single coin though if your intent is to hit
that Royal (or get the advertised EV).
Check the Royal payout for 5 coins (or the max coins if it takes more than
5 - I have seen some bartop machines that require 10 coins for the higher
Royal).-Mark

We at Goldman Sachs categorically deny that we are in the gambling business.

Yes.
I realized my mistake right after sending it and deleted the email from the Group, but it still made it through (even to the digest). If you notice, though, it isn't in the current message list.
Sorry for the confusion.
