RoR for multi-line games (was Wizard of odds Probability of ruin)

Dan, I won't be able to check your simulation using Dunbar's Risk
Analyzer for Video Poker. DRA-VP doesn't do RoR for multi-line
games. The reason I was able to tell the Wizard's multi-line tables
were wrong was because they were internally inconsistent. Namely,
the bankroll requirement for a single line Double Bonus was greater
than the bankroll requirement for a 3-line game in the same
denomination. Interestingly, these tables were up for several years
with no one noticing what was pretty obvious.

I had that problem in my simulation program until I discovered the bug. It was starting with a single-line bankroll regardless of the number of lines on the machine. Once I fixed that, the program gives results that appear reasonable. Perhaps the Wizard of Odds made that same mistake.

So it seems that Video Poker Times may be the first to publish useful data for RoR on multi-line games. The single copy price is $10, but members here can order the next issue for $6.00 ppd or the next three (which will cover JoB, DB and NSUD) for $15.00. Ordering info on my web site.

Dan, I look forward to seeing your tables.

jazbo has had some info on his website for years that could be used
to construct RoR tables for multi-line games.
http://www.jazbo.com/videopoker/nplay.html I am not 100% certain
that his reasoning is correct, but you may want to compare your
results to his conclusions.
