Room offers

Has anyone tried booking a mailed room offer with host, getting a host up
grade and using RFB to cover food? I am working such now with RIO. What is
the downside?

Fred, we just stayed at RIO under "RFB" but it seems that food FIRST comes
out of your points and it is only the Room now that the host has real
control over. The room Upgrade should be Fine though. I think that if you
are that qualified what may work better
is to ask for Discretionery Meal comps, though I am not even sure that will
work. We had a "FREE" golf round and they took the points out for it TOO and
would not even return them to our account as they said we were there on
another offer. Let us know your results as we always have been in RFB but
when we were there for a tournement after the new changes we found that
EVERYTHING came out of the points at 1 cent per point!!! Good Luck Tom

Fred, or anyone else who may have gotten the MONTHLY cash from RIO or
HARRAHS Las Vegas. Does it seem to be the same or as I seem to think does it
seem to be even smaller return for Cash through? For the month we earned
over 6300 Base Points and Cash back is apparently only $72??? Please post
your experiences or opinions RE "Harrahs" New System of once Monthly Cash
Back as we have plans to go to the CHER Concert and are curious as to what
others including Locals have observed.. Thanks Tom
