With the demise of the MGM 25c 8/5 BP, I'm looking for another place
to play. As a non-local, room comps are of importance, so after
looking through the database I'm considering South Point, Tuscany,
Westin, and Silverton since they are close to the airport/strip area
for my quick weekend trips a few times a year. Looking for more info
on what it takes to get a comped room at these places.
I usually play triple play quarters or 50c single line JoB, BP, and
NSUD, typically $5K/day minimum.

I tried South Point. Did over 30K on a 3 night stay & my offers I get
from them stink. I'm on the east coast if that matters.---
The Southpoint offers are notoriously weak however the hosts are great.
Give Amanda Chiever or Freddie Teriano a call and I am certain they

I did $36K in one day at South Point and get offers of 2 free nights
Sunday - Thursday with $25 food credit and $25 free play. Needless to
say, I haven't been back.

On another topic, I'm at the Rio this weekend and the All-Star Poker
9/5 JoB have all been downgraded to 8/5. The $1 Spin Poker also is
now 8/5. Best thing I see under $5 is 7/5 BP
Some 9/5 JoB can still be found at Harrah's

South Point isnt very good for their mail offers but absolutely
excellent if you work with a host. There has been some changes over
there as Amanda Chiever and Sarah Breaux are no longer there but in
the past they have been great about comped suites and all food comped
