I intentionally left out the name of the casino because I think it is
irrelevant. I don't think it's fair to single out a certain casino for this. It
could have happened in any one of them. I just shared it because someone asked
for personal stories and I thought it would be a good idea to warn people about
what is going on.
Since this happened, I became much more careful about cashing out and
carrying around those tickets. As soon as I hit the cash-out button, my hand is
right there waiting for that ticket to come out (anyone could run over and snatch
it if your attention is elsewhere). Then I immediately put it in my pocket.
The point is, we just have to be extra careful and use common sense.
Wherever there is a lot of money exchanging, there will be crooks who try to get
some.
