Since this column actually offers no useful information whatsoever,
why post the link to it at all? I won't contravene vpFree policy by
enumerating the nonsense found therein (anyone can follow the link
for themselves and draw their own conclusions), but my question is,
what is this link doing here? We don't link to horoscopes, tarot
discussion boards, or the daily Dilbert cartoon for that matter. We
only have links to useful video poker information on this board. The
RS columns fail this criterion in two ways: they aren't useful, and
they aren't information. They aren't even funny.

I also fear that the inclusion of the link constitutes a de facto
endorsement of RS's column, or at least an undeserved equal ranking
with Dancer, Kelly, Krause, et al. Such equality may convince VP
newbies that RS's policies and views are valid. Anyone who believes
that "you can win on any pay table", for example, after reading his
current column, is headed for a financial bloodbath. Isn't that
something we are collectively trying to PREVENT, through our free
exchange of VP information and advice?

I hope that everyone else sees this post as one of the worst flames I have seen on this board in a very long time.

Kevin, which part of the "advisory" for Singer's column did you not grasp.

Your comments would have been better directed to the vpFREE
Administrator privately, for his consideration, rather than posted
here. (As his instructions would clearly suggest.)

You advocate blocking the posting of links to Singer's column, then
talk about "...our free exchange...".

I love irony.

I personally applaud Tom for trying to avoid something that amounts
to censorship. If posting is restricted to "accepted practice" then new
ideas cannot get a fair hearing. Some of currently "accepted practice"
is wrong, and some of what "experts" say is wrong too.

Newbies don't really need all that much protection from "bad" ideas,
and the best way to fight "bad" ideas, in my opinion, is to expose them
to daylight and close scrutiny.
