RNG Operation

<<<Can I ask what *possible* difference it could make to the player
whether the machine draws 5 and 5, or 10 at once?>>>>>

On the newer model machines, casinos could reasonably deny requests for
"good faith" payment on hands where players hold the wrong cards by
accident because the time it would have taken to hold different cards
would have changed the outcome of the redraw cards. (the only exception
would be dealt hands where there is a failure to hold all cards)

That is an interesting thought, but most likely the casino employees
are less knowledgeable about the way the machines work than we are.
(thats good sometimes). I believe it is more of a decision of how to
handle it by each property. I personally was playing a slant top
about 2 months ago that had a sticky button and thought I held 3 8s,
but somehow only 2 got held and in the first 2 new cards was a 8. I
quit playing that machine and called for a slot sup., who called a
tech to check it out and they paid me the difference from the 3oak to
the quad. I didnt make a scene and was very polite about it, and they
only seemed interested in verifiing that it was in the first two draw
cards and that was it. I have heard that this has happened to others
at different properties and they were not paid, but it was because it
is the 'players responsibility to make sure the correct cards are
held'. Personally I think it is the casinos responsibility to have
properly working equipement.
