riverwalk

Does anyone know if they ever connected the river walk with that biking trail? I remember they were going to do a pedestrian bridge to connect that.

The biking/walking trail to Davis Dam is "usable", but the amenities (parking lots, restrooms, drinking fountains, landscaping, etc.) haven't been completed. Another bankrupt contractor?

The pedestrian bridge over SR-163 IS done. You have to walk across Casino Drive from the Riverside Casino (North end of the river walk) to get to the walking/biking path trail-head (South end of the bridge).

The South trail-head is located between SR-163 and the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center area. There's also a North trail-head at the West end of Davis Dam.

Starbucks is gone from Aquarius. Their internet signal remains, you can catch it at Subway or McDonalds (no idea how long that will last, it's pretty weird). Signs indicate a new coffee cafe coming soon. I'm no big fan of Starbucks but I will miss them in Laughlin unless the new place is open 24/7 and offers free internet.

Sorry to hear that. That particular Starbucks was one of the better casino ones with friendly service, free refills, and discounts / and or charge it to comps payment. The only thing I disliked about it were the one-drink-dannys, that would go in and get one small coffee every 4 hours while hogging seats. But its surprizing they went belly up , as the place was always crowded. Wonder how much longer that starbucks in the Golden Nugget will last ?

I'm with you, Burberry.

I'm not going to be down there for six weeks yet so I'm curious as to why Starbucks closed, unless they have a higher overhead than their replacement coffee shop will have.

I've learned that Starbucks is just moving to another location within Aquarius.

Maybe you can kill Starbucks. Now I'm hearing that Starbucks IS gone for good from Aquarius, to be replaced a a casino-owned coffee outlet. And over at Golden Nugget, Starbucks will relocate upstairs.

Thanks for the update burberry. I'll be curious to know if the new Aquarius cafe will have free wi-fi like Starbucks did. I'll be calling my casino host down there in a week or two making April reservations so unless someone reports the free wi-fi issue before then, I'll see if I can find out.
