The riverwalk is just too cool, it seems amazing to me that nobody ever
seems to want to walk it in the evening/night, it's lovely then. I get
a little disgusted with Harrahs, here they are the largest outfit in
Laughlin, it would be the easiest thing in the world for them to extend
a nice sidewalk down to the riverwalk and connect to it. >>>

I do walk it late at night when the weather is the best but have been warned
by local friends that, lately, there have been some robberies outside of the
casinos. They advise being careful when walking between casinos or on the
sidewalks.

This happens in every town but I was surprised to hear that this has
happened several times recently.

This thing has happened in the past too. Some desperado needing a
poker buy-in, no doubt. Beware of the River Rats!

It reminds me of a story about a poker player at Lucky Chances in
Colma, California. The guy evidently loved to play poker but he was
a steady loser. He was a likeable person and and took his losses in
stride. He would play for several days at a time. Then he wouldn't
be seen for awhile. But he would eventually show up with a fresh
bankroll.

Meanwhile, there was a serial bank robber around the San Francisco
aea. He had robbed like 7 or eight banks over a several month
perid. They couldn't get a good picture of the guy. But on his last
robbery they got a good picture. There are TV's in the Lucky Chances
poker room and the picture just happened to appear one night while
the happy loser was sitting in a game. Everyone looked at the
picture then looked at him. BUSTED!!!

I'm sure the winning players in the room were severely distraught
over his arrest.
