In a message... Bluegill just shouts at us! Hey man, we didn't do it. We
are mostly on your side. Turn off the CAPS key.
An aside- The Riverside was my first joint to comp me a room. It was my
main joint from the late 1990's through say, 2001. I had my most fantastic
gambling adventure there in Jan/2000.
Let's examine Bluegill's concerns:
···
HI
I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE RIVERSIDE IN LAUGHLIN FOR A 5 DAY STAY.
OBSERVATIONS:
TRAFFIC PATTERN IN THE CASINO IS TERRIBLE, U CANT WALK FROM ONE END
OF THE CASINO TO THE OTHER END WITHOUT RUNNING INTO SOMEONE! THE
CASINO FLOOR PLAN MUST HAVE BEEN DESIGNED BY A "DRUNKEN SAILER" ??
*******
Bluegill- didn't you watch the Don Laughlin Experience tape on those
machines on the casino floor? The joint is a jig-saw puzzle. Each major addition
just was another piece to the maze. It has been forty years of building to the
complex.
At least we were not the unlucky three casino patrons who died on that
fateful day after the completion of the south tower. The damn crane fell on them
when they were taking it down.
THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN BUT OLD AND IN DIRE NEED OF REPAIR ESPECIALLY THE
CARPETS. I HAD A ROOM 2 DOORS DOWN FROM THE ELEVATERS AND COULD HEAR
THE "RUMBLE" OF THE ELEVATERS ALL DAY AND NIGHT LONG. COULDNT SLEEP.
I AM HARD OF HEARING AND WHEN I TOOK MY HEARING AIDS OUT I COULD
STILL HEAR THE RUMBLING NOISE.
*******
Elevator noise can be heard in most casinos. Why didn't you ask to be moved?
Curious, was this the north or south tower?
If the North tower, is it true you can't use the balconies anymore?
I WOULD CONSIDER THE RIVERSIDE A "VP WASTELAND"!!!
I COUNTED 104 OLD ANTIQUATED COIN DROPPER MACHINES.
HIT A MINI JACPOT OVER $100.00, TRY TO CASH OUT AND" HOPPER EMPTY"!
WAIT FOR COIN REFILL,
*******
Only a 104 coin-clunkers? It is true most of the good VP are coin-clunkers,
except for the dollar TITO bartops.
THEN WAIT IN LINE FOR YOUR MONEY<UGH!!!!
*****
Play the TITOs.
DONT GO ON A "WEDNESDAY", ITS PAY DAY FOR THE CASINO EMPLOYEES. GUESS
WHAT? : ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE STANDING IN LINE AHEAD OF U TO CASH
THEIR PAYCHECKS! YIKES!! IT LOOKS LIKE THE RIVERSIDE CATERS MORE TO
THEIR EMPLOYEES THAN THEIR CUSTOMERS???
******
You mean all those cages had employees standing in your way? Unlike most
other joints on the river I can think of five different cashiers that will take
your money in the Riverside. What you do go to that Main Cage by the table
games?
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS RUN INTO THESE PROBLEMS??
FULL PAY VP MACHINES?? FORGET IT!!!
THANX,
BLUEGILL56
*****
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I don't stay or play there anymore
myself. I enjoy some of the other joints alot better. Just let it go and
enjoy another casino's hospitality.
