Additional information on the entertainment at the River Run:
Flamingo: Foreigner- Thursday
          REO Speedwagon- Friday and Saturday

Riverside: Rick Derringer and Edgar Winter- Friday and Saturday

Harrahs: Marshall Tucker Band- Thursday
         Cheap Trick- Friday

It really doesn't matter to me who is playing, as I am not going to
the River Run. Period.

I am not going to River Run Period myself! I can't imagine the change that
town takes.

But why do you torture me? That line-up includes a couple of bands that I
have seen. Have vinyl for all of them. But Cheap Trick? How can you torture
me like that!

I keep missing out on seeing them...since 1975. Cheap Trick used to be based
out of Rockford, Illinois. They rised pretty quickly, but still managed two
loops through Champaign, IL in the mid-seventies. My roomie, who had a clue,
saw them twice at a bar called "Chances-R", walking distance from the
dorm...before any album release.

This River Run appearance should be the best chance to ever to hear live
those great songs off the first few albums. A bunch of old drunk bikers will
demand it.

Cheap Trick's first album is self titled-1977- but one side is Side "A' on
the other side is Side "One". And then there is the next album "In Color/And
Black and White".

Oh,man...another near miss.
