River Palms

We just got back from a weekend trip to RP.

They have a t-shirt promotion going on. A free RP logo t-shirt for
350 points earned. Limit one per day. They are suppose to have four
new colours every week. We each got three of them.

We learned one lesson. Don't go to the buffet dinner right when they
open at 3 pm. Most of the food seemed to be leftovers from the day
before. Actually the late night buffet was better than the dinner
buffet.

If you get the $2 off on the late night buffet, you can not use your
comp money to pay the balance. So we just used our comp money. We
also got $10 food comp to any RP restaraunt with a swipe of the card
at the kiosk.

There seems to be less employees. There are no longer the change
people with their carts. The lines at the cashiers were longer.

We cashed out all of our past accumulated points for $330. Can't
trust the new owners. They did reduce our points for the new point
system. Now $5 play = 1 point and 500 points = $5 cashback.

We still enjoy the New Carribeen band that plays Fri-Sun.

Just returned from another weekend trip to Laughlin.

We have been going to Laughlin for the past five years. I have never gotten a royal flush there! While my wife has gotten most of her royals there. I play more hands than her but still no royals. I seem to make up for it with the deuces tho. I keep track of how many times that I'm dealt 3 deuces. On this trip, they were dealt 18 times but none converted. One time, I got the three ducks dealt back to back! We each got the quad ducks twice. BTW, we play mostly FPDW.

Smart luck to all,
Dennis

Dennis,

May I call you Dennis? I want you to study-up your VP mad-skilz. Someday way out into the future you might be called a "connoisseur" of playing Video Poker.

People have called me many things, but I prefer the word "visionary". Being Royal-less can be a test, a faith in the numbers.
You do believe in the numbers, don't you?

I have a thought in the back of my mind about the future...maybe it is your future? The vision goes like this...comfy chairs (Monty Python like) with swivel bases, not even bolted to the floor. VP screens that are flat and huge. Maybe a moving stairway (to heaven or possibly hell) nearby.

I envision a holiday celebration. Even well into the future you will play the game of choice, some Deuces Wild in the favorable version of the paytable. But ducks don't show-up, it is the King and Queen and their court all dressed in the same holiday garb.

The vision is faint, maybe years from now it will be a realization.

Good Luck,

Bluestreak

Bluestreak,

Are you doing your version of "Carnac the Magnificant"?

LOL...

Score is now wife = 21, me = 17 Royals. Both on the low side of the curve!
