River Palms Birthday Promo-Happy 7th

I just don't get it. Another RP promotion where you can't qualify to
participate on the day of the event. RP has definititely swung for the locals
market. Previous promos have ended the day before for qualifying, but this one ends
on Friday for a Sunday slot tourney. Frequent flyers only.

Here is the blurb from the Entertainer/Tourneys/Oct 5th edition:

I was looking for an excuse to visit the Birthday Bash, but this is a
dis-incentive. But we must remember this is a Columbia-Sussex sponsored deal.

Don't expect too much attention will be given to RP from Columbia-
Sussex. They recently bought Caesars Tahoe, and had only a year to put
a new name on the side of the hotel. The new name will be MontBleau,
and they are already working on the place. Lots of money will be spent
up there. Also, they are still cussing about their purchase of the
Belle of Orleans riverboat casino in New Orleans. They just completed
the purchase less than a year ago, and Katrina must not have liked the
sale, as she lifted the entire casino barge and moved it on top of
about 30 sailboats in a dry dock area. They say it will not be
operational until next year sometime.
