Rio vp question

You can easily configure the double deuces game in Winpoker by opening using the "change paytable" command under "options" on the full pay deuces game.
The full five coin paytable is 4000, 2000, 125, 80, 55, 20, 15, 10, 10, 5.
Also note that you should consider making much of your play across the street at the Palms.
They have many over 100% games.

Hello all. I will be taking advantage of an offer to spend 4 comped
nights at the Rio during Thanksgiving week. As I anticipate getting
ready to play there, I see from the VP board (thank you, thank you VP
administrator!!) that the best .25 cent games are either 16/11 DDW at
99.6% and the homely 8/5 BP at 99.2%. I know BP well and though I
can play DW, I am unfamiliar with DDW. Further, Winpoker doesn't
have this game, so I can't practice in advance. (Winpoker does not
have the option of configuing a wild card game.) So, VP experts,
shall I stick with the easy, tried and true BP, or should I live on
the wild side and figure out what I must do to get the
additional .5% If the latter, what is it that I do??? Also, what is
the anticipated variance and volatility? Anybody know? Thanks so
much. Good fortune to all. Bill

Hello again. I wrote the message previously and wish to
especially thank Howard Stern for responding directly to my
question. The others who advised me to walk across the street to the
Palms, while trying to be helpful, simply weren't.
The Rio is letting me stay there for 4 comped nights. As such,
I don't mind giving them some play, their "dis-advantaged" paytables
notwithstanding. Sooooo, given my decision (I will also likely give
some play to the Palms, thank you very much) let me return to my
original question.
The best .25 cent games there, according to the VPFREE links
for the Rio are either 16/11 DDW at

99.6% or the homely 8/5 BP at 99.2%. I know BP well and though I
am also familiar with DW, I am unfamiliar with DDW. Howard Stern

lists some numbers below, but they are not 16/11. Does anyone else
have the paytable for this game? Does anyone have some idea about
the variance/volatility? Any advice (short of advising me to go to
another casino) would be most appreciated. Good fortune to all.

You might want to check to see if any Sneaky Queens (8/5 BP with an
extra bonus feature) are still left there. Also, there was a lone
Blackjack Poker quarter machine in Masquerade Village awhile back. I
believe the ev is "around" 99%.

Howard's paytable is correct for five coins.

Here's the one coin info from the vpFREE Glossary:

DDW - Double Deuces - FP = 1-2-2-3-4-11-16-25-400-800 (99.62% - 50.99 VAR)

The Glossary contains information on most full-pay games, and many other
paytables can be found at 5-card's site and in vpFREE's "VP Pay Tables". Links
to all of these are on the vpFREE home page and on various other pages.

I wrote a "quick and dirty" program that estimates Blackjack Bonus
Pokers' return at 99.3%. It is a highly volatile game with some
strategy quirks. You can program winpoker with all jacks as kickers
(instead of just the black jacks) to get a feel for the game. I also
have a DOS program that correctly evaluates individual hands.

Also, do the sneaky queens ever really help? My wife played the game
one time for about two hours and only saw them twice.

Thanks everyone. (but 50.99 var., oy vey) Howard Stern, I
publicly "accused you" of providing misinformation. I hereby retract
that statement, oh wise one. You were right on the money. What a
terrific board this is! Good fortune everyone. Bill
