Rio offers in April

Hi group, was just wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of offers they have received for April for the Rio. We are considering going there 4/7-10 to meet up with friends and currently have NO LV offers aside from the coupons in the Ceasars book that comes in the mail. I use to get a ton of offers for tournament/freeplay/electronic giveaways etc. Have free rooms, looking for other events/giveaways/tournamnts to ask for.

We went at the end of Jan and I earned 3600 tier pts playing their crappy games over 2 days. We were comped for Cher first night and Penn/Teller the next. (maybe they feel overcomped?)

anyway have not had one piece of mail from LV since our return...I'm wondering if it is because I listened to my host and use LV as one big play day (all day market value is what he told me) played less then 250 points at Ceasars after the show and did the same the next day at Bally's maybe 250 points. So made the other 3000 points at Rio and have not even heard from them!!

anyway just curious what others are getting for this time period. As Miss Craps says cant hurt to ask if you can get it too!

I would suggest you log onto your Total Rewards web page and see what offers
they have for you. I was totally surprised to get 4 nights comped at Paris
for only 511 points accumulated from last September.

Chris, I do always have up to 5 nights comped rooms in Vegas at any property. I was just wondering if there is anything else going on at Rio those days (April 7-10) that would be worth asking my host for. Use to get tons of different offers from Vegas for slot/poker tournaments and giveaways etc but lately nothing.

First off this is not to be taken personally. Patricia can do whatever she wants with her money, but if the supposed educated people on this board( and other boards), and there are quite a few, are willing to play these games, and in addition accept the cutbacks why would any casino offer something good ?
  All you're doing is proving that casino marketing is in fact very smart !

No offense taken Larry. In fact in many ways I know you are right. This last trip we had comped Cher tickets, comped Penn and Teller tickets a good size suite and comped food.
Yes their marketing dept/hosts are smart.

That said, if I do go there and play their less then full pay games, I do expect to continue to get these kinds of offers....if they cut off the offers or give minimal offers I will be much less likely to give them my business...

I play mostly at Harrahs Rincon (live in socal) and had not been to Vegas in awhile. I guess that is why they were sending the good offers.
Now that I went it appears they do not care if I come back!
