Sorry if this is a repeat but I've been going to Harrah's and Rio
everyday to swipe my card and I saw that the BP $1 progressive has
been downgraded to 7/5. The good news is it looks like all new
screens. I checked 4 of the stand alone $1 BP and they had been
downgraded as well. I can still find 2 $1 JOB at Harrah's so I guess
I won't be playing much at the Rio anymore. I only give them play
when I stay there and I've always liked the Rio but I can't afford
$5 JOB. There are too many other places to play good VP.

the country and they now are striving to have the worst video poker,

Sure. To name a few:
- good buffets
- good free shows
- nice looking dealers at the Bikinis
- and a very short walk to the Palms and Gold Coast
Diamonds should be able to work out a stay Rio/play Harrah's deal with
their host, if done in advance.

OK, eat there, go to shows there, treat them like Harrah's and stay
there if it's free, but never ever play there.
Regarding the bikini pit; if you guys want, then stand behind the
table and look but once you place a bet in a blackjack game that
pays the enourmous amount of 1 to 1 for blackjack, just lable
yourself as one of the biggest suckers in Vegas. The pool is much
much cheaper and you might even meet someone.
This has nothing to do (well maybe a little) with my being a woman
but: When a casino considers you so stupid that you would play the
world's worst blackjack game just because the dealer has a bikini
on, then you know no matter how they smile at you that they hold you
in the utmost absolute contempt!
For anyone math challenged in this group: If your average bet is
$50, the math says you will average a little over 4 blackjacks per
hour, so in REAL blackjack your 4 blackjacks would pay you $300, if
boob (if you played it your are the boob) blackjack you are paid
$200. This means you are paying $100 per hour for the view which is
available for free at every pool in every hotel. Play a couple of
hours and you could have had a hooker and more than a view.
Shun the place, they hold you in contempt and think you are idiots!

This reminds me of the story that my Excellent Husband loves to
tell. He says that, while he was waiting for me, in the lobby of an
expensive hotel, a beautiful working girl approached him and asked
if he'd like to get together with her. When she quoted a price of
$200, he looked aghast. She asked what he usually paid, and he said
$10.00. The hooker walked away in a huff. A little later, when
E.H. and I were walking together, across the lobby, the hooker
accosted him and said. "See what you get for $10.00"!!
Well, that's HIS story, not mine, but we can't both be spending
time, posting on this board. One of us has to work, when we're in

I have to tell my own Las Vegas hooker story. A couple years ago my
husband and I were staying at the Bellagio with another couple. (It
was a WagerWorks deal -- remember those?) Dan, the male half of the
other couple was sitting at the bar by himself when a hooker asked
him if he would care for some company in his room. Dan politely
declined, saying his pregnant wife was upstairs asleep. The hooker
was undeterred and offered a "ride" in a limo. Dan again refused and
tried his best to ignore her. Well, I guess it was a slow Monday
night at the Bellagio, because the hooker started talking about her
personal life, complaining about her boyfriend, how he didn't want to
cuddle, and on and on and on. Dan finally said, "Lady, if you keep
talking like that, you're going to have to pay ME!"

The taxi to the tuscany will cost $3.20 just to get in - there is the #202 bus on flamingo that goes between the 2 places and also a free shuttle from the gold coast to the barbary coast and from there you can easily wlak to the tuscanny unless in mid summer heat or rain
