rincon update

Aside from there now being (3) $5 9/6 JoB machines, the inventory did not change as far as I noticed. Basically, they put in the new flat-screen monitors and marquee displays, and the new software that allows volume control. Other than that, everything's the same; 9/6 JoB still available at $25 and $100. The lone $10 machine is still the same as it was; it's on a separate bank.

I didn't check the $25/$100 8/5/35 BP, but I suspect it's the short pay version that pays 35 coins for all quads; in other words, it's really 8/5/35 JoB. I recall seeing that months ago prior to the machines being upgraded. I will verify this next week unless somebody beats me to it.

Last time I checked, the high limit area of Harrah's Rincon and full pay (9/6) JoB and 8/5 BP. I believe they also had 9/6 DDB. All of these were on multi-game machines in the high limit area.

I checked the high limit area today. They DO NOT have progressive bonus poker. They do have a 2 progressives on Double Double Bonus Poker at the $5.00 level. It was at approx $20,985 today for 1 of them and a little less on the other. It seemed to have 4 machines linked to the one progressive and 2 to the other one.

highest I saw).

I believe so, but can't confirm 100%.

I verified that the $25/$100 8/5/35 BP is the short-pay version of JoB, not a super version of BP.

I have a stupid question. What is the difference between the short-pay

it worth playing? I do well at home on Winpoker. Can you explain the

JD,

1-2-3-4-5-08-25-40-80-50-800 ... 99.17% - BP (FP)
1-2-3-4-5-08-35-35-35-50-800 ... 99.66%

why is 8/5/35 bp "short-pay" when it has higher er than 8/5 bp and
9/6 job?

thanks Frank

Typical switch. The funny thing is so many people don't realize
what they are playing until they hit a four of a kind. They think
they are playing BP and then they are shocked.

Accidentially hit send before I was finished. Then usually these
players will come look at the $5 machines and I see them check both
games and look at the pay schedule carefully. Other players, keep
playing their machines and act like they know what they are doing.
Of course, I see that in lower denoms and other casinos. I have
seen so many people sit down at a quarter DDB that is 9/5 and yet
10/6 is just a few rows over. Never ceases to amaze me.

I stand corrected. 8/5/35 BP is in fact a little better than 9/6 JoB at 99.66% to 99.54%. You'd have to study the strategy changes yourself though; I've never played it.

Not worth playing either way. Once in a while the progressive at the
bar - is very high (its a $ progressive) and it actually makes the
game almost 100%. But it does not get that high real often.
