Revel Bet

Civil ceremony was at NYC clerks office on Friday, what a nutty place. The 'classy' affair in August. Thank you.

I had sometime between the clerk and the private time to check the boards. If I had multi-tasked the way you were implying, I'd be divorced already.

Congratulations on your recent wedding vows.
Were you multi-tasking when you typed the posting? Or did you use speech recognition software? I got more.....

Bob, there are two reports on the Wizard of Vegas site by two players who claim their Revel player's cards were revoked yesterday after they had played. One claims a win, the other a loss of over 10K. The poster who lost claims he was told he is not eligible for the rebate.

But if they renege on payments or throw out players who didn't
violate the rules, then Richard would win the bet and I would lose. If
they honor the promotion as advertised, I win the bet.

The "honoring matchplay"
part of their promotion is not part of the bet.

Neither Richard
nor I are flying to AC to take advantage of this promotion but we
suspect many vpFREE members are --- or are active on the AC vpFREE
discussion group. So if Revel reneges, please post it here.

Thanx. I wonder what they did to be removed.

I've heard enough reports from a variety of trusted sources that I concede the bet to Munchkin.

But I'd still like to understand who they pick to kick out

The idiots at Revel are creating a PR nightmare for themselves. It appears they are profiling players as AP's. So far about 40 people have been disqualified. One player dumped over $10,000 then was told he wasn't eligible for the Freeplay. The blowback is coming. One complaint has already been filed with New Jersey Gaming. A writer for Google News is promising to crank out stories on Revel's reneging. A New Jersey lawyer is promising to get involved. There is talk of a class action lawsuit.

I'm LMAO! This is going to be a fun show to watch.

OK we are all reading the postings on WoV so a few of the postings sort of said there were shenanigans by some of the people involved.

Bob, you can start with the Revel thread at Wizard of Vegas. The first mention of a card being terminated is on page 36. You can follow the thread from there. The dialog is ongoing. There have also been some reports of underhanded tactics by some players, but so far no one has explained what those tactics were.

Don't feel bad Bob. Over the years you have been right on about half the predictions you have made which I screamed "No f-ing way".
This sure as hell wasn't one of them though.
Then there is is your 10 year running habit of making predictions of the "imminent" demise of FPDW-which I won't mention-LOL.
Anyway thanks for that Reno guest-he hit all the jots and tittles very concisely and very accurately. Definitely an A list interviewee.
