And would everyone notice how I post. If I quote someone, I put << >>.
When it is my own words, I don't put << >>. Some of you drive me crazy - I
can't readily tell who is writing what and what is being quoted and what is your
response to a quote. Look back at your last posts - and if the shoe fits,
please put it on. I read every post on both lists - and my grandkids are here -
there just aren't enough hours in the day!!!!!

On AOL 9.0 optimized, unlike previous versions of AOL, when you highlight
e-mail text and click on "Reply," the quoted portion is NOT shown any differently
(to the recipient) than the actual reply. In earlier versions, the << >> was
automatically put around each quoted line. This was a good thing!
Doing something that sets off the quoted portion from my reply can be
time-consuming, but I guess we should take the time. Easiest for me is a dotted line,
as above, to separate quoted portions from the reply. Is this okay?
Everything above the dotted line is quoted material, below is the reply.
On a similar subject, Jean, you usually don't attribute quotes. If I read a
post by you without reading all the previous posts in that thread, I have no
way of knowing who wrote what you quoted. And I would be interested in knowing
whom you are quoting without having to retrace the entire thread!
Thanks,
Brian
