The best 25 cent VP I've found would be the Boomtown and the
Hollywood now. Those 4 uprights on the first deck that are 3/5 plays
against the port side at the stern of the BT( Boomtown ) have been
there a long time and do break down a lot. They have NSU, 9/6 Jacks
and 8/5/4 Super Aces Bonus (SA is only full pay on the 3 play). BT
also has 25 cent Pick Em.
The Hollywood is just now putting in something playable besides SA.
As I mentioned they have the better pay tables only on the 5 Play.
They include:
9/6 Jacks ; NSU DW; 9/7 DB ; 9/6/4 DDB ; and TDB 9/7/4 , however the
last two I didn't verify as to what the return was. Four machines on
the second just to the left of the Cashier Cage against the wall and
12+ Slant Tops on the third deck at the entrance just in from the
escalators. They were putting in some Game King slant tops in the
same area of the third deck, if you get by there let me know what
they have on them if anything good.
The BT offers double point on Tuesday(?) to make your cash back 1/2
of one percent. If you get enough point to make the Celebrity level
at the HW (Hollywood) you can get 1/3 of one percent. It takes a lot
of single line 25 cent play to make 7500 point (HW) to make that
level but, you might be able to do it if you had the bank roll to
play the 5 play? With that level you can have 2 free buffets for any
play that day, once each day. Our cash is severely tested right now,
but I will try to play enough to make the ( I think ) Gold level at
BT and see what benefits it would add.
Side note: The HW's high limit room has some VP too. At least one $5
9/6 Jacks. There are others but didn't take notes, maybe next time?
