OK I have a 6:30 flight out of RNO and I went to my favorite car rental, Enterprise, only to find out they don't open till 6. So they are out.
Someone must have taken an early flight out and be in a position to guide me to a company that opens earlier?
Rental Car problem
Mike,
What are you trying to do? Return a car before the rental car office opens? That one is easy. Every rental car company I have dealt with has a drop box for just such an occasion. Take a picture of the gas guage with the mileage and make sure the tank is full and take a few pix of the outside of the car just in case. I have rented from Enterprise probably 75 times and have never had an issue with a scratch or ding. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Returning the car may not be the issue. I think Enterprise is offsite in Reno and the shuttle may not be running that early.

Many of Reno's hotels have shuttles that Run as early/ for example 5:15AM to make a 6:30 Flight. I usually drop the car off a day early and take the casino's shuttle in the AM .

That;s what I might do. Except the Eldorado shuttle doesn't start till 6!
Grrr. I'm assuming a cab from Eldorado to the airport won't be more than around 20 bucks. I'm also assuming there will be no problem getting a taxi at Eldorado around 5 AM?
Does Enterprise still have an office at the Peppermill?

Has Enterprise changed their policy of not accepting cash? Besides their lack of a true rapid/frequent renter program, this has always been my beef with them.

I don't think Enterprise will handle cash. Also, they have different rules for debit cards vs credit cards.
The corporate answer on no frequent traveller program is that they can keep their prices lower. They do have a program that will store your info for faster check in.
Also, the way they give you a courtesy upgrade is that the agent will write his name on the back of a business card, saying "free 1 class upgrade". It's not the most secure method if you know what I mean.
