Thanks for the information so far everybody -- I guess I was thinking of Reno because I enjoy cultural activities (theatre, movies, concerts, etc.) and am assuming that there is more to do in Reno than in Carson City, but I could be wrong. And of course the more I think of it it might be easier to do the drive once a week or so for cultural activities rather than five or six days a week going to work.

Also was thinking that Reno is a little cheaper than Carson City housing wise?

Since you mentioned the youlived in Detroit, etc...I am sure the
snow and black ice would not be a shocker to you. You should
definitely consider a good offer if you are into VP and want some of
the best as well as a relatively small town. Not like Vegas at all.
