Reno without a car

Since I got my Reno Harrahs diamond-in-a-day, offers have been
arriving (for that property only). For instance, if I show up on Aug
19, I get $120. So I'm thinking of taking the casino bus tour up.

My question is about getting to Atlantis/Peppermill or Nugget/Sparks
without a car. Is a cab the only alternative (any free shuttles??).
If so, what fares would I expect?

Thanks,

Stuart (RandomStu)

I believe that the regular bus line from downtown stops at both the Peppermill and Atlantis, I don't know about Sparks. Cab from Downtown to the Peppermill was a little under $9.00 before tip.

Hi Stu,

Harrah's is walking distance from the Silver Legacy (FPDW,FPJW,3
play/5 play 10/6/50DDB & 9/6JOB)! Harrah's is about a $10.00-$12.00
cab ride to either Atlantis or Peppermill. A cab from the airport to
either Atlantis or Peppermill is approximately $10.00.

As far as I know SL, PEPP and Atlantis all still have free shuttles
to the airport. If you really want to be "frugal" you can take one
casino's shuttle to the airport, and pick up the next casino shuttle
there to the casino. This can be a little time consuming as most of
the shuttles leave the home casinos on the hour and the half hour,
and if you've just missed one, you can count on a 30 minute wait for
the next.

I can't help with J A Nugget in Sparks, as I haven't been there in
years. We did have a car on our last visit to Sparks, and visited
a few small casinos there. As I recall, they were nothing special VP-
wise.

Good luck in Reno!

Babe

DB is correct. I ride the casino tour bus weekly from
Sacramento to Reno. I do ride the route 1 bus to
Atlantis and Peppermill from downtown or return only
during daylight hours for safety reasons. Generally I
prefer to play at Silver Legacy instead of taking the
bus to Atlantis or Peppermill. James Giroud
