I've been enjoying some great comps at Silver Legacy in RENO this
year.
I've averaged $20K coin-in per day during my 20 vacation days in Reno.
I spend at least 10 hrs per day at VP, .25 & $1 denoms mostly.
I get a deluxe suite, the airport limo rides and all meals comped.
Plus there have been some enticing cash bonus offers lately. Some of
this is due to having a great Host who gives me some discretionary
comps (a deluxe suite vs. a regular suite for example). But I believe
some of it points out that Reno TRIES harder than Vegas to keep
players coming back.
The Silver and many other casinos in Reno have very good full-pay VP,
not the least of which is Silver's recent ADDITION of 8 .25 FPDW
PROGRESSIVES (for a total of 14) and there are ALWAYS open machines.
Maybe the Palms is the only comparable casino in Vegas with so much
FP VP.
I really enjoy the casualness in Reno, and the lack of over-crowding.
I'm not into shows or touristy things at all. Just VP and a pleasant
good meal and room.
My question is:
Would I enjoy even close to these same comps at $20K coin-in "trip-
daily average" at, say, the PALMS, in Vegas? or compared to any other
Vegas casino with a respectable amount of FP VP?
While I am treated like a high-roller in Reno, I get the impression I
would be just another average Joe in Vegas, treated like a beggar at
the door by Vegas slot Hosts.... Comments?
