Reno/Tahoe Trip report

Southwest from Northeast to West stop in Midwest (Denver) $240RT/pp.
$250 FP at Atlantis for 2 nights end of February.
$300 FP at Harrahs Tahoe for 2 nights.
$250 FP at Atlantis for 2 night beginning of March.

Highlights
2 royals at Atlantis. Left for home ahead $5K
Concerned will be shit-canned so gave lots of slot play after 2nd royal.
Lost $3K at Harrahs gambling on 9/6 DDB
Atlantis very busy. They are be doing something right.

Stopped at Bodines on way back from Tahoe. FPSDB multi-strike.
Cocktail waitress paid us $1600 for straight flush on 4th line.
She also adds paper tickets to machines when empty.

Yes, like you I suspect that Atlantis will yank you-unless you were playing DDB or something with a higher hold.
I have to agree that both Pmill and Atlantis know how to run a casino and keep it hopping.
Others could learn that lesson but don't.

It's not that they know how to run a CASINO...it's that the HOTEL has what people want...FAAAANCY rooms, killer spas, and jumpin nightclubs...take a look around Eldorado's foyer on a saturday night, you'll see it's packed...it's just because of Roxy and Bubinga...
People could give a $hit less about "gambling" anymore...

On another note...are you a 7* to get $300 FSP from Harrah's LT?

Was 7* in 2011 (expensive/bad idea). Gave them little action in 2012. The $300 was split between Reno and Tahoe locations.

"An epilogue...is a piece of writing at the end of a work of literature or drama, usually used to bring closure to the work..."

As several members predicted, got phone call from Atlantis. No longer will be receiving offers. Have to say they were classy to call us with the news.

Didn't lose our points but no more free rooms nor bounce-back. Still can gamble. Even did well on quick strikes so slot machines no savior.

Well that is what you get for being lucky. How dare you?

I found out the same thing at Bodines and their sister casino- Carson Valley Inn. The cocktail people also work as change persons, jackpot payoffs and minor machine repairs. I one time saw my drink sit on a tray on top of a machine for 15 minutes while the cocktail gal tried (no sucess on repairs) to fix a paper jam.

So am I to understand from the call you received, Haaljo, that Atlantis is no longer giving room offers to anyone?

No. What he was saying is that if Atlantis considers you to be an Advantage VP Player, "no marketing offers for YOU!"

Free rooms and offers if you are a consistent overall loser.

Can't argue with that logic.

In retrospect, it may have been taking "advantage" of the $250 free play for both Feb and March with only the 2 night gap at Harrah's.

Gambled 80% on $1 3 line FPSDB (99.7%); 10% 9/6 DDB double super times play (arms are starting to itch)and 10% slots (after the 2nd Royal).

Stayed away from FPDB including the bar progressive for couple of years based on comments on the board.

The good news is the former Vegas Hilton sent us $200FP/month after stopping offers since a good trip last year. But VPFree motherboard messages said they downgraded the VP in the sport's book :frowning:

Something flagged our ~$150K action but it wasn't on >100% machines.
Just being lucky and/or greedy on the free play me thinks.

HAL says hello.

I got what your saying about the new machine software flagging us.

If Atlantis is going to cut-off everyone at 99%+ machines the joint would be a lot less crowded than it is.

Don't know casino exec's "opinion" but do know HAL could read lips
