Reno sept 08 trip pics

I've got the photo's of my trip on-line below. Some comments are in order:
#1 Big split. Peppermill has this 99.9 game in both Jacks, Joker, deuces - all full pay. This is a game that I did the best in at the Peppermill. Its important to go fast and try not to make many mistakes. For that reason alone, I strongly recommend only playing the Jacks game ( actually 2 pair, at least jacks and two's ). It deals you 8 cards, and you have to make the best 5card and 3 card hand. Note on the hand that I got the royal, had that deuce been a queen diamonds, it would have been $15,000.
#2 Atlantis Super Triple machines. The best is one machine which has bonus deluxe. The super double double is excellent too. These machines are super volatile.
#3 - Wheel Poker - Well, JA Nugget has an excellent selection. I went to cash in $75 free money ( not free play ) , and decided to blow $400 on wheel poker while I was at it. Despite the loss, the place was packed and there is a decent VP selection . Mmmmm - I think I will finally take them up on one of their 3 night comp offers next time.
#4 - Eldorado continues to have an excellent selection of video Poker. I managed to break out even there, due mostly to loose deuce and Multi strikes. Heavy loses negated the wins playing 10/7 double bonus ( go figure , I did the worst with the best game there, oh well ).

best wishes...Tom

Those were some great hits, and thanks for sharing. I really enjoyed
looking at them.

I also enjoy playing Big Split and have been practicing on
videopoker.com. It's good to know they have a decent payable for this
in Reno. Do you know if they have the good paytables for this game
anywhere in Vegas?

Thanks.

Hi
I don't recall seeing the full pay versions of this game anywhere in Vegas ( the El Cortez, Palms, and South Point all use to have). At 99.95 , this has to be one of the top games at the PepperMill. They have one at JA Nugget but I forgot to check the pay schedule. Its a weird game and streaky, you can go 10 straight losers very easily, and at $10 a shot for the quarter game, that's not cheap. But then again, its not uncommon to get quite a few 400 - 800 coin hands per hour. Comps seem very tight at the Mill, so its important to play fast and accurate since this game will gladly accept your 80 coin best submit to the Theo best of 400 ! One 100 coin screw-up wipes out its full pay nature, So while the Jokers and deuces games seemed a bit more exciting, It's just too slow and nerve wracking for me to be 99% certain you have the highest combo's selected.
I played 3 sessions of Big Split Jacks - some at 10C till I got the feel of the game :
#1 start $200 - cashed out at $400
#2 start $300 - cashed out at $600
#3 start $300 - cashed out at $1000

So of all the machines at the Mill, these were the best overall for me - it was my first time playing the game - and your right, that practice really helps build your confidence. This is a great Bob Dancer article link about the game - good luck...Tom
