Reno Recollections (Trip Report VERY VERY LONG)

The Peppermill had sent me a mailed offer that included $150.00 in
free play. I intended to use this before attacking my own bankroll.
In my little fantasy world, I thought that perhaps I could make the
free play ticket grow large enough that I would never have to use my
own bankroll. LOL !!

Congratulations on a successful trip, Babe.

But just so you know, it is possible to have free play last a whole trip- I was lucky enough to do it at the Pepp on Memorial Day weekend!

Having gotten beat pretty badly over New Year's, I have received a couple of good offers from the Pepp since then. I had a free Southwest flight voucher I had to use, and while a trip to LV was enticing, the free $150 offer along with two nights in a jacuzzi suite was enough to get me to go. I also had a number of coupons they sent- including a 100 coin bonus for 4 of a kind- Js, Qs, Ks or As- $50 table game match play and $50 dining credit. Check in was great, nice room with a jacuzzi over looking the pool (I ended up not using the jacuzzi because the room also had a steam shower which I used both mornings.). Did I mention I had exactly $10 in my wallet on arrival?

Headed for the $1 10/7 DB at the bar in the high limit area to use my free play. I figured if I was destined to hit 4 of a kind on the free play, might as well be on something that would make it worth it. On inserting my card and entering my pin, turns out I also had another $25, so there I was with $175. After about 30 minutes of play in which I was dealt three of a kind twice, but not in face cards (and never made the 4 of a kind), I still had about $150 in credits. Finally, three jacks came up on the deal and sure enough, the fourth hit! I now had over $400 in credits and another $100 bill for the coupon. Played a little more to make sure I had put through the $175 (nice to know it can be cashed out, though) and cashed out at $480.00.

Next I went over and put down the match play coupon on a single deck black jack table- put the $50 out and caught a 20- and took my $150 away when the dealer busted! Then went and had a nice dinner at the Steakhouse with my $50 coupon! What a way to start the trip!

Ended up the night playing live poker- won another $200-and tucked away $500 and played on the rest of the money the next day before heading home. Had $620 when I quit Sunday night, but after breakfast I had a little time before my flight so I put $60 in the 10/7 $.25 progressives, but still left with a little over $540 while never having to go to the bank/atm! Now that is a fun trip!

So, every once in a while, the free play or bounce back cash can really pay off!

Not trying to one up you, just found it funny you mentioned the same plan that I was lucky enough to pull off! Wonder if those good offers will keep coming in........Thanks, Lee.

Hi Lee,

Congrats to you on your outstanding achievement! You lived my dream
of never having to dip into my own bankroll at all.

Don't worry about PEPP not sending you future offers. I'll bet your
mailbox will be just as crowded with promotions as it was previously.

Thanks for sharing your happy story.

Babe
