Reno - Peppermill

Will be there this Friday through Sunday (25-27) for a Bar Mitzvah. Any
recent information that is not in the databases would be helpful, including
location changes. We haven't been there for several years. Am interested
in high-level plays since our time for VP will be limited but we would like
to at least earn room comps - this is a big casino so would take a lot of
time to completely scout. Personal responses are fine.

Thanx for any help you can give us.

I live in the San Francisco bay area and frequent the Peppermill, (last time was the early part of June 04. The 10/7 DB in Dollar denominations are no longer on the main sections of the casino. They are now in IGT multiplay games in the High Limit Section ONLY. They have plenty of 9/7 DB in Dollar and Quarter in the IGT Multi games in the newer section of the casino (Buffet area, high ceilings etc) but since they are not truly advantage play games I wont bother. Im a dollar player and the good games are only in the High limit section. They used to have 10/7, NSUD in all of their machines but they have changed the schedules. I hope it is not a new trend.

Good Luck,

Tim

I recently took a trip to the Peppermill in Reno. I
had never gambled there before. I played $1 VP for
about two hours and craps for about three hours (not a
big craps bettor) each day for two days and they
comped everything for me, including room, steakhouse
dinner, and two other meals for my two friends and me.
Plus, they insinuated that I could get more if I
wanted. They won't tell you your comp balance, you
have to ask them for things. For example, "Can I get
a $30 comp for the coffee shop?" "Yes, we can do that
for you."

Or, what some people go through is, "Can I get $100
comp for the steak house."

"No, we can't do that for you."

"What amount can I get?"

"What amount do you want?"

"$75."

"No, we can't do that for you...Would you like
something else?"

If you play a lot in just a couple days, stop by the
player's desk and a manager will probably upgrade your
card to get you a higher level of benefits from the
club (such as priority seating at the restaurants--we
jumped in front of about 15 groups at the coffee
shop!). One more thing...I overheard a club
representative telling a woman that she couldn't get
comps based on her play (because it wasn't enough for
what she wanted), but that she could get comps for her
losses...
