Reno - Peppermill Report

This was given to me second hand, and I wonder if others have found
themselves in this situation:

Peppermill Reno recently changed to an MGM-type comp system if you are a

···

comped hotel guest.

The player's club no longer issues food comp slips if you are a comped
hotel guest, and they immediately know you're a hotel guest when you
present your player's card. The patron is told that the meal must be
charged to the room, and it will be "evaluated" by VIP Services at
checkout. The sleazy part of the system is that the host's food comp
decision appears to be based solely on tracked action given on the current
trip, and ignores the comp balance on the player's card from previous
trips. One player with a four-figure comp balance was recently denied
reasonable food comps because of "insufficient play" on that specific
trip.

Apparently this is not true. I just called the Peppermill and was
told that for comp slips you must go to info booth (just as it's
always been done.)

What you are TOLD sometime differs from what really happens. I have been given misinformation by a casino employee during the last 22 years more times than I could remember or count. I would like a report from someone who actually has stayed at the Peppermill very recently and did get a comp slip from the booth OR could not get a food comp slip from the club, being told he must charge all food to his room and it would evaluated by the host at the end who would look at his present trip play.

This may be a new policy - that's what I am checking on.
