Thanks for taking the time to determine comp rates for the Peppermill. I
played video blackjack there about three weeks ago. It was the first time
in years that I had gambled there. After playing part of an evening, I was
shocked by how little comps I was earning. I didn't figure out my comp
rate; I just knew from experience that it was terrible. I decided that I
would go to my favorite casino, the Atlantis, and elsewhere to play the next
day.
I paid for the buffet at the Peppermill that evening and was struck by how
empty the restaurant was. Apparently, most of the people eating there
didn't have sufficient comps and like me were paying for their buffet.
Do you suppose that the comp rates are significantly higher for the slot
machines with their much lower return?
The weird part of the Peppermill is that they are being very aggressive with
their free offers. Mine was the result of having played at the Montego Bay
in Wendover.

Nice to hear from you George.
I meant that it takes more coin-in to earn a tier point as well as a comp
dollar.

Thanks for the update. I was confused by what you mean by "Point rates per
coin are also greatly increased and parallel comp rates."

get-away day (very limited play) playing them without a card. The loose
deuces have been very generous with a royal and 2 loose deuces. Both deuces
hit on 2 card holds. If you are deuce fan you know how infrequently this
hold connects, so I've been very fortunate.

apparent how little your play earns. Perhaps this is why these accounts have
been opaque for years with hosts given wide discretion to run negative
accounts based on action. So why show the miserly rates?

on machine type, schedule, and denomination. Surprisingly it's the
multi-line (higher action) that has the lower rates and I think an element
of time, base denomination, and won-loss (per machine) are also factors. Pay
schedules largely remain intact and my analysis focused on JOB, NSUD, and
SDB. Point rates per coin are also greatly increased and parallel comp
rates.

take long to deplete your comp account unless marketing decides to
periodically offer comp dollars.
