I am compiling the cash back rates (which includes free play, but
excludes welfare checks or other promos) of Reno / Sparks casinos.
I have to say, cash back is poor Reno / Sparks versus the other
places I have reversed-engineered. I did find one casino (name
withheld to protect the innocent) that offers 0.50% or 50 basis to
its members. In comparison, Cal Neva offers 0.125% or 1/4 the rate
of this casino.
I don't compile multiple point days unless it is consistent and
ongoing like Siena's extra 4X on Mondays (it's 5X, which means the
bonus cash back is an extra 4X).
I also don't compile promos since they are difficult to figure out.
Take Harrah's 7X program (or 6X extra program). You get $5 for
every 1,000 points up to $1,000 or 200,000 points. It takes $10 of
coin-in for video poker players to get 1 point such that 2 million
of coin-in divided by 7 is required to get the $1,000 translating
into 0.35% or 35 basis points. However, Harrahs gives you extra
points based on length of play such that you don't need the entire 2
million coin-in and you also get welfare checks as a result. I do
want to mention the 31X on Halloween was an interesting promo.
