I HATE THESE POST! I know people are going to keep big play to themselves. To

I disagree! I don't live there but it nice to see that a great play like this existed, even if only for a short time. Post it and it dies even quicker. Remember the Reno deuces??

rubbed our nose in it...not exactly what i would expect from a

I like to know plays EXISTED, even if it's after the fact.
It gives me hope to keep looking.
BUT,
If you are using as an example the Silver Legacy Reno dollar deuces
introduction Dec 2003 until they were cut back to 25c only about Jan
7th (?), 2004; I disagree the posting of it's existence had much to
do at all with it's demise. I played it Jan 1 - 5th (after
the "outing" on vpFree) and the machines were NEVER full and
certainly if there were any teams, they weren't obvious to me, and
they didn't play round-the-clock.
There was a LOT of posts about whether-or-not publicity kills a
play, and no need to resurrect that; I just wanted to comment that
in THIS particular case, I don't think it did.
The Harvey's $1/$2 FPDW, eh, lotta historical posts on that too.
Maybe the publicity can be blamed for a team swooping into town, who
knows. That chat was much more spirited.
I believe locals can better judge what's going on to these "finds"
than us out-of-towners.
So, I'll defer to bearpa, of course. My 2c.

Mark,
I was referring to the Harrah's bank of $$ DW. They bit the dust right around the time the SL deuces were yanked, I think. Don't really know if they were played heavily, but my guess is probably.
In the years I have played DW in Reno there has always been a core group of guys who pound these things almost everyday. I used to see them at the RH, then they moved back to SL. They are recreational players, but they probably hurt the casino a bit. If nothing else, I'm sure the casino gets tired of them taking up machines, etc. They burned out the CC deuces in the small casino off the 2nd tower, and I'm sure they contributed to the RH demise as well.
Oh well, hopefully there are enough between the SL and Pepp that those aren't yanked also.
